EUR 101 spent by average visitor
According to Raimund Hosch, chairman of the board of Berlin Messe, last year they had broken all time records in terms of revenues and profit and this year’s event was no worse. 220 high ranking political decision makers attended the event in 2008. 403,000 tickets were sold in ten days and there were another 115,000 registered visitors. Average per capita spending by visitors was EUR 101. Revenues generated by the 1,600 exhibitors totalled EUR 41 million.
