A comprehensive European lifestyle program to be started against obesity
At the end of May, the world's largest network for obesity prevention the EPODE announced the launch of a Europe-wide comprehensive project against childhood obesity.
In the scope of the OPEN program, 11 communities fighting againts child obesity will get personalized support. The project aims to reach nearly four million Europeans including one million children and adolescents. The goal is to help individuals and local communities in the development of an active and healthy lifestyle and to maintain it long term. The project is vital, because in Europe every third11 years old child is struggling with overweight or obesity.
