Auchan GO: the first smart store is now open in Budapest
On 10 April Auchan Magyarország opened its new innovative store: the first Auchan GO is in Bikás Park, in the Újbuda district of the capital city.

The new store format has a floor space of just 18m², it is open 0-24 hours and the unmanned smart store operates utilising an AI-based camera system and shelves equipped with weight sensors. Everything is in compliance with GDPR regulations. Customers can enter using the OkAuchan app and the entire purchase can be processed through the app, including payment.
“This new format is an interesting experiment for Auchan Magyarország”, told Géza Vincze, CEO of Auchan Magyarország. Auchan’s technology partner is Kende Retail Operation Kft., an innovative tech start-up that aims to take the shopping experience to a new level by using cutting-edge technology.
