The completely renovated Temporary Home of the Gyöngyösi Families was handed over, and high-tech production begins in P&G’s newest super-modern factory
The renovation of two temporary homes in Gyöngyös, which was made possible with the support of Procter & Gamble, has been completed. The P&G Gyöngyös Factory is an important plant for the company worldwide, among other things, thanks to the fact that it is one of the most modern production units of the company, the exclusive production location of Oral-B mouthwash, and it is also a significant employer and supporter of the region around Gyöngyös. Thanks to its investment of 160 million dollars this year, the factory unit in the fierce county has grown into the company’s second largest oral care plant worldwide.
P&G and its four brands – Oral-B, Head & Shoulders, Pampers and Always – together provided a total of HUF 30.5 million in support as part of the social responsibility program of the Livable Home for the renovation of the social rooms of the Gyöngyösi Family Home and Children’s Home. . During the works, the bathrooms, kitchens and communal spaces were mainly renovated and modernized. The renovation was completed in September, so residents can once again use the buildings in full.
Procter & Gamble’s Güngyös factory is one of the company’s most important European production sites, focusing on the production and packaging of various consumer goods, including Oral-B electric toothbrushes and Braun products. The plant recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and plays a key role as the site for the company’s oral care development, as a center of excellence for Braun packaging, and in the coming months for the launch of the latest technology iO replacement head and iO grip systems to support Oral-B’s business growth. In this rapidly developing business environment, both the production volume and the number of employees have tripled in the last 5 years, approaching 1,000 employees.
This facility is one of P&G’s fastest growing European sites and has made significant investments over the past decade to increase its capacity and technological capabilities.
