The 2025 Green Awards have been presented
The winners of the 2025 Green Awards were selected from a record number of entries: companies, organizations and professionals who excel in the field of sustainability were recognized in seven categories.
The Green Awards were presented on September 4th during the Sustainable World conference, which received 60 applications this year. The professional jury highlighted good practices and exemplary actors in seven categories.
The title of Green Large Company of the Year was won by K&H Bank, which is a leading player in the domestic market with a green loan portfolio of 460 billion forints and responsible investments of nearly 1,000 billion forints. The Green SME of the Year was awarded to Lehel Radiator Factory Group for its integrated energy renovation model, which has implemented nearly a thousand projects so far. In the Innovation category, eChemicles won, which produces chemical raw materials from carbon dioxide and its modular technology is undergoing industrial testing.
The Green Investment of the Year award went to Budapest’s St. Francis Hospital for its energy modernization and awareness-raising programs. The Good Cause of the Year went to Heti Betevő, which has been providing food to those in need for over a decade while reducing food waste. The Green Role Model of the Year is Katalin Sipos, the Managing Director of WWF Hungary, who has been working for nature conservation for over 30 years. The Special Award of the Board of Trustees went to Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary, which created an artificial bird wall for barn swallows at its Kecskemét factory.
