“Art Is for Everybody”: Absolut pays tribute to the art of Keith Haring this year

Absolut Vodka celebrates creativity with a new, limited-time bottle, this time focusing on the work of one of the most famous representatives of pop art, Keith Haring. The Absolut Haring Artist-Edition brings Haring’s vibrant and energetic world closer to new generations, almost four decades after the artist first painted the legendary bottle in 1986. Last year, the brand paid tribute to Andy Warhol with a special edition, so now two pop art legends “meet” in this special collaboration.

Keith Haring believed that art is for everyone, and his iconic street art works conveyed a vibrant energy to every city dweller in 1980s New York. The Absolut Haring Artist-Edition carries this spirit forward, with the limited edition bottle bringing the artist’s original 1986 work to life with vibrant colours, the artist’s handwriting and his signature dancing figures fused into the glass. “True art is inclusive, inspiring and accessible to everyone,” explains Rita Hruska, Marketing Director of Pernod-Ricard Hungary. “Keith Haring’s works follow the same philosophy, creating a world full of energy with vibrant colours and dynamic shapes. With the Absolut Haring bottle, we now invite the younger generation to experience this spirit.”

Absolut’s collaboration with contemporary artists from various fields dates back to the mid-1980s, when the brand first asked renowned artists to reimagine the bottle. Between 1985 and 2004, over 850 unique works were created by 1,500 artists.

Almost forty years ago, at Warhol’s suggestion, Keith Haring became the second artist to reimagine the Absolut bottle. The brand first collaborated with the artist in 1986, and in 2025, it introduced its first bottle specifically inspired by Keith Haring, drawing inspiration from the artist’s original work. The bottle features Keith Haring’s iconic signature, and the design is almost alive: the embossed, dancing figures come to life in Haring’s signature red and yellow, creating a sharp contrast with the iconic Absolut blue. The neck of the bottle is adorned with the hand-drawn Absolut medallion, featuring a portrait of the founder, L.O. Smith, adding a personal touch to the bottle. The result is a three-dimensional work of art that is a joy to toast.

As Haring said: “Art is for everybody”, which reflects Absolut’s credo, as the brand has always believed that art and culture belong to everyone.

The limited edition Absolut Haring bottle will be available in stores in more than 40 countries worldwide, including Hungary, from mid-October.

Absolut celebrates creativity not only in the bottle: the Absolut Haring Fizz, Absolut Haring Collings and Absolut Haring Screw cocktails evoke the artist’s world-traveling spirit with East-West flavor combinations. Keith Haring was never satisfied with the ordinary. His bold, vibrant art always carried a deeper meaning behind the playful surface. The same duality characterizes the campaign’s signature drinks, which may seem simple at first glance, but their layers conceal deep complexity. These special drinks boldly combine flavors: sesame oil and ginger are inspired by Haring’s passion for Asian cuisine, while apple, orange and citrus represent a simple, accessible experience for everyone. The result carries the same message as Haring’s art: art – and enjoyment – is for everyone.
