Egg producers are forced to raise prices due to higher feed prices
Egg production companies, which have joined the Poultry Products Council, are initiating an increase in the transfer prices of table eggs in shell due to higher prices of feed and feed ingredients – the Egg Association informed MTI on Monday.
Referring to the data of the Agricultural Economics Research Institute, the communication highlighted that cereals have become more expensive by 25-30 percent in the last six months, the price of feed corn in the second week of January 2021 has already exceeded 60 thousand forints per tonne. The prices of finished feeds are similar, they added. (MTI)
