Price reduction in Tesco: the prices of another 600 products have been reduced
The Tesco department store chain continues its price reduction campaign even after the end of the mandatory promotions, and has introduced price caps on more than 600 more products. Starting in September, the company took another significant step in order to make affordable shopping available to customers, this time keeping the prices of the most frequently sought-after brand products low.
Continuous promotions for the benefit of customers
According to Nóra Hevesi, the communications manager of Tesco-Global Zrt., the supermarket chain pays special attention to providing cheap and predictable shopping opportunities regardless of the regulations. As part of the measures that will come into effect on September 12, more than 900 new items will be included in the Price Guarantee program, which until now mainly included own-brand products. Now, however, well-known brands such as Milka, Haribo, Nivea, Törley, Heineken, Coca-Cola, Pick, Herz, Chio and Ariel are available at low prices. In addition, fresh chicken and pork, which are key for customers, will be available at permanently favorable prices.
More than 600 new products at a discount
As of September 12, the discounted price reduction covers an additional 600 products, including pet foods and durable foods. The reduced-price products include canned goods, breakfast cereals, instant meals, pasta, rice, as well as products suitable for healthy and special diets, such as vegan, sugar- and gluten-free products.
Thanks to the price guarantee, customers do not have to give up popular brands such as Pedigree, Friskies, Felix, Whiskas pet food, Maggi cubes, Knorr soup powders, Rio Mare tuna, Barilla noodles or Kellogg’s cereals. Nutella, Alpro, Cerbona and Gullon products will also remain available for those with special dietary needs.
