Vegetable prices may increase further
The Spanish and Italian producers lost half of their harvest, due to the unusual inclement weather in Southern Europe, so the price of fresh vegetables, has doubled, sometimes tripled – Népszava wrote on Saturday.
According to the market price statistics of the Agricultural Economics Research Institute (AKI), the price of zucchini increased the most, but vegetable prices are usually 60-70 percent higher than a year before. (nepszava.hu)
