It was 85 years ago that Arizona, the most famous music club in the history of Hungary’s hospitality trade opened. Its owner, composer and conductor Sándor Rozsnyai came home from the Metropolitan Opera in New York to build a club where the latest technological solutions and design elements were used to stun guests. A new revues show debuted twice a year, full of the most exciting acts. Sadly, the Rozsnyai couple were murdered in 1944 and the story of Arizona ended.
