Coming from America
Attila Bicsár, chef of Alabárdos visited the US in February, holding a demonstration of Hungarian cuisine in the French Culinary Institute as one of the programs in the Year of Culture series of events. He was selected for the show by Christina Wang, chef of the French Culinary Institute last year. American taste and the availability of ingredients both had to be taken into consideration in preparing the menu. Following the show, his menu was also served in Café des Artistes in New York. He also had an opportunity to visit some of the Michelin star holder restaurants in New York.
