AM: We are also strengthening Hungarian villages with developments that support rural tourism
The countryside is a strength, the land is a value and a responsibility, and the homeland is full of opportunities that become a value with persistent work. This is also the message of projects related to rural tourism, such as the development of Zsindelyes Cottage, said István Nagy at the handover of the investments, according to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) on Thursday.
According to the Minister, the development of Zsindelyes Cottage is also proof of faith in the future: it is a message that the Hungarian countryside is able to renew itself, to preserve its traditions and to adapt to the challenges of the future.
The national government’s policy is therefore based on strengthening small settlements so that there is an opportunity to prosper outside of big cities. In support of this goal, we have already spent 1,300 billion forints since 2019 within the framework of the Hungarian Village Program, said the Minister of Agriculture.
According to István Nagy, it is gratifying that more and more people are recognizing the values of the Hungarian countryside. Young people also value closeness to nature, a healthy environment, good air, and a cohesive community
– the Minister of Agriculture explained. Rural development includes agriculture, the food industry, as well as supporting tourism. The tourism offer of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County is now being enriched by a new investment, which was implemented with 316 million forints of domestic and EU funds – the announcement reads.
In the homeland of Zsindelyes pálinka, which adds to the list of national values, an expanded inn, country house, and petting zoo await visitors in a catering establishment that is now sustainable with energy modernization.
In this way, the roots of the past meet the comfort of the present, and their history is a good example of how the possibilities of the homeland turn into fruition and value with persistent work and dedication,” the Minister of Agriculture assessed.
