AM: partial payments in the Agro-ecological Program are progressing at a steady pace
A total of 12 billion forints worth of partial payments have been completed for 4,109 applicants in the Agro-ecological Program (AÖP). This means that the affected farmers have received support in excess of 72 billion forints in connection with more than 60,000 applications, announced the State Secretary for Agricultural and Rural Development Support of the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) in a statement.

József Viski highlighted in the statement that the Ministry of Agriculture remains committed to supporting sustainable, environmentally and climate-conscious agricultural practices with incentive programs. This is served by the AÖP, a voluntary support title introduced in the CAP Strategic Plan in 2023 and available to farmers. Farmers are increasingly feeling the impact of climate change, so they are consciously looking for solutions that make production work sustainable in the long term, the state secretary said.
The program is extremely popular, as more than 4 million hectares have applied for support under this title
The goal of the AÖP is to implement activities in everyday farming practices that contribute to soil protection, water retention and biodiversity conservation. After the inspections related to the affected applications have been completed, payments will continue on schedule. Farmers can track the status of their applications in the usual way, on the customer portal, the ministry said in a statement.
