AM: generation change in agriculture may give a new impetus
The Ministry of Agriculture (AM) would encourage young farmers to take a more active role, partly through the vocational school network of the ministry and through support from the Rural Development Program – Szinay Attila, Minister of State said in Miskolc.
The Minister of State added that the purpose of the ministry was to establish rules on agricultural inheritance and to adapt family farms to the new legal environment. The Ministry expects the measures to stop the fragmentation of land holdings, and the regulated economic transfers can boost generational change in Hungarian agriculture. (MTI)
