AM: the adoption of the Irrigation Act opens a new era in agriculture

Parliament is expected to adopt a law on irrigation next Tuesday that will enter into force on 1 January , opening a new era in agriculture – Farkas Sándor, parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture said at the Agriculture Conference of Portfolió in Siófok on Wednesday, calling the sector ensuring the competitiveness of the sector as a key issue.

In his opening speech at the two-day conference with more than a thousand participants, the Minister of State said that the performance of Hungarian agriculture has increased by 32 percent since 2010, reaching 2,720 billion HUF last year, which is a “respectable figure”. (MTI)
