AM: sheep meat consumption should be increased

In order to provide consumers with more thorough information, increase consumption and support Hungarian processors, the country of origin must be marked on the board of sheep and goat meat not prepacked (offered from the counter) from 15 July last year – the State Secretary for Food Chain Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture said – according to the announcement of the Ministry.

In the statement sent to MTI by the Ministry on Friday, Erdős Norbert also drew attention to the fact that since the measure, shoppers have been able to find out more about Hungarian food or even meat in stores. (MTI)
