The head of the ministry reminded that the demand for cultivated mushrooms is constantly growing and the sector has excellent export opportunities. Mushrooms are rich in nutrients, extremely healthy food in the so-called “superfood” category. Its cultivation also puts less strain on the environment, as the water footprint of the mushroom is the lowest of all foods; It takes only 5-8 liters of water to produce 1 kilogram of mushrooms.
