AM: Hungary was one of the first in the world to recognize the importance of gene conservation
The head of the ministry reminded that our genetic resources for food and agriculture, the Hungarian cultivated and farm animal breeds are also part of our national heritage, public treasures, national identity and symbols of Hungary, he wrote.
The Minister added that the Institute for Farm Animal Gene Conservation of the National Center for Biodiversity and Gene Conservation is of paramount importance in storing genetic information on poultry under laboratory conditions. (MTI)
