AM: Food production cannot be separated from soil

It is reported in a statement to MTI that the ministry leader said in Parliament that there are many concerns about meat produced in the laboratory. And answering the questions may only be based on a comprehensive impact assessment. However, pre -presumed negative effects are such that it is already necessary to ensure the prohibition of laboratory meat production and marketing through legislation. According to István Nagy, it is most definitely necessary to take action against it, and to insist on producing all foods to the land. If we separate food production from farmland, we move away from all our traditions, all our cultures, lose our identity, which can lead to rootlessness. The European form of life will be jeopardized by accepting the distribution of artistic meats, he added.

As a result, everything must be done to exclude or reduce possible negative effects. That is why the strictest possible rules should be laid down in the production and distribution of artificial meat. The bill submitted to Parliament would only allow medical and veterinary use, and in all other cases it would strictly prohibit the production and distribution of artificial meat in Hungary, he informed. István Nagy emphasized the need to estimate the normality, the traditions and the work of the farmers who stand on the ground with two feet. Some people have moved away from nature, forming pseudo -romance on wildlife. Most of society must understand that without farmers there is no food and no future. Therefore, we are working on how we can restore social recognition for the host society. The Hungarian government is committed to preserving and strengthening the traditional rural lifestyle, the head of the agricultural ministry underlined.
