AM Secretary of State: by 2024, there will be one hundred thousand hectares more irrigable area in Hungary
The Ministry of Agriculture intends to increase the size of irrigable areas by one hundred thousand hectares by 2024 – the State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture said at the ‘Clean Water’ 2020 Japanese-Hungarian regional agricultural conference in Debrecen.
Szinay Attila spoke about the new irrigation legislation that came into force on January 1 and the tender opportunities, saying that climate change has a significant impact on agriculture, for example, due to uneven rainfall distribution, the largest amount is paid from the compensation fund for drought damage.
