AM: active Hungarian participation for sustainable food

Hungary is a multifaceted participant in world food projects and is committed to achieving sustainability goals, Bencsik Dávid, Deputy State Secretary for International Relations at the Ministry of Agriculture said at the opening of the informal regional meeting of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) European and Central Asian Office on Monday – the Ministry announced on Tuesday.
The regional meeting is now traditionally hosted by Budapest. In his greeting, Bencsik Dávid emphasized that as the national coordinator of the Food Systems Summit, he is working to implement healthy and sustainable food production and consumption and to introduce good practices. Hungary continues to be committed to supporting the implementation of the FAO’s motto “Fiat panis” (Let there be bread!), Among other things, by funding a well-functioning scholarship program and FAO projects in the country, Bencsik Dávid stated.
