AM: the best pálinkas were awarded
Every country has its own spirits, fruit spirits can be produced anywhere, but pálinka can only be made in Hungary and from Hungarian fruit – the Ministry of Agriculture’s state secretary responsible for food industry and trade policy said in a statement in Budapest.
Márton Nobilis recalled at the 2023 National Pálinka Excellence Program Awards Gala that AM first announced the program in 2014, the aim of which is to introduce Hungary’s quality pálinkas to domestic and foreign audiences.
Following consumer trends, this year the program was expanded to include gin and spirits, so that in addition to brandies and pomace brandies, gins, spirits and liqueurs could also be included.
In 2019, the ministry created the pálinka title of the Ministry of Agriculture, which was also selected this year from among the TOP Pálinka excellences named in the business category.
