AM: the preferential loan requested by farmers exceeds 54 billion HUF
About 3,000 farmers have already applied for preferential loans in the Agrár Széchenyi Card Plus scheme, which helps with working capital financing, worth more than 54 billion HUF, Feldman Zsolt, Secretary of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, at OTP Bank’s press conference on agricultural lending in Budapest on Tuesday.
The Secretary of State explained that a number of important government decisions have been made in the recent period that will effectively contribute to offsetting the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic. These include the 25 billion HUF non-refundable support package for agricultural and food operators that can be applied for during the summer, as well as the elaboration of the investment tender package, from which the livestock sector will receive 50 billion HUF and the horticulture sector 30 billion HUF.
