About 3,000 farmers have already applied for preferential loans in the Agrár Széchenyi Card Plus scheme, which helps with working capital financing, worth more than 54 billion HUF, Feldman Zsolt, Secretary of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, at OTP Bank’s press conference on agricultural lending in Budapest on Tuesday.
The Secretary of State explained that a number of important government decisions have been made in the recent period that will effectively contribute to offsetting the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
