Coca-Cola To Roll Out Dasani Water In Aluminium Cans
In a bid to step up its sustainability initiatives, Coca-Cola has announced plans to introduce Dasani water in aluminium cans and bottles in the US.
In September of this year, the cola giant will launch the cans in the Northeastern United States, before distributing it to other regions by 2020.
Water in aluminium bottles will be launched by the middle of 2020, Coca-Cola said.
The company has also introduced the HybridBottle, a packaging innovation made of up to 50% plant-based renewable and recycled PET material, in order to reduce the use of virgin PET plastic.
These initiatives support the beverage giant’s global ‘World Without Waste’ goal aimed at making its bottles and cans with an average of 50% recycled material by 2030.
