Livestock farming and the greenhouse gas effect
Livestock farming is responsible for 14 percent of the planet’s total greenhouse gas emission. This emission level could be reduced by 30 percent if the right methods were used – revealed FAO. The organisation created an interactive programme, called GLEAM-i, which is easy to use and can help the work of farmers, decision-makers and scientists in this field. It can be downloaded from http://www.fao.org/gleam/resources/en.
