Aldi Süd Introduces Animal Welfare Label On Its Cheese
German retailer Aldi Süd has introduced an animal welfare label on its private label cheese.
Aldi’s label, Fair & Gut, has been in use since 2018, and has already been introduced to meat, eggs and milk.
It guarantees inter alia that farms receive constant monitoring by an independent certificate authority, cows have more space in which to move around, and all fodder used GMO-free.
