Romanian smoking ban was accepted
The law on smoking ban does not violate the basic laws in Romania, which was adopted in December by the Parliament in Bucharest, so there is no obstacle to the publication of legislation – the Romanian Constitutional Court announced on Wednesday.
Under the law, smoking will be prohibited in all enclosed public places, workplaces, restaurants, public transportation and closed and open playgrounds. The legislation only allows smoking in separate rooms of airports and penal institutions. Fines can reach 500 lei (35 thousand HUF). (MTI, Baranyi László)
