The private sector of the euro area grew slightly in October
As a result of weaker demand, the euro area private sector grew slightly less than expected in October – according to preliminary Purchasing Manager Indexes of the London-based IHS Markit financial and economic reporting group, released on Thursday.
The euro area Manufacturing Purchasing Manager Index stagnated at 45.7 points, while analysts expected an improvement of 46.0 points. In October, for the ninth consecutive month, the index was below the 50-point threshold that separates performance from decline. (MTI)
