The purchase price of cherries is low
The purchase price of cherries is low in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Hajdú-Bihar counties, so the farmers can leave the fruit on the trees as well – a local primary producer informed MTI about the situation.
Ledó Ferenc, the Pesident of the Hungarian Fruit and Vegetable Interprofessional Organisation (FruitVeB) told MTI that the purchasers pay different prices for a kilo of cherries. The price of edible cherriers is between 150-180 HUF per kilogram, while the price of industrial cherries is around 70-80 HUF per kilo. (MTI)
