AKI: producer and processing prices of dairy products decreased last fall
The average producer price of raw milk increased year-on-year, but decreased compared to the previous month, as well as the processing sales price of most dairy products in November – according to the summary published on the website of the Institute of Agricultural Economics (AKI).

According to their data, the national average producer price of raw milk was 195.98 forints per kilogram, 1.98 percent more expensive than November 2024, and 1.35 percent cheaper than October 2025. The volume and average price of exports fell in both annual and monthly comparisons in the penultimate month of the previous year. Last year, the average producer price of raw milk peaked at the beginning of the year, but it still fell short of the peak measured at the end of 2022, when it exceeded 220 forints per kilogram – they wrote. According to the summary, among dairy products, the processing sales prices of natural buttercream, cow’s curd, sour cream, natural yoghurt, kefir and Trappist cheese decreased slightly in November compared to October, with only processed cheese becoming more expensive. The retail purchase price of Trappist cheese also increased compared to both the previous year and the previous month in the period under review, it was reported.
