Domestic beer consumption has shifted towards quality instead of quantity, say Auchan beverage experts. Based on market trends, premium and super premium category beers are developing above average, but products produced with reduced energy and alcohol content are also becoming increasingly popular. Good weather has the best effect on beer consumption, and of course a favorable price, and the sale is very important for this product category as well. Auchan celebrates the arrival of spring with a two-week beer fair, during which it offers two very popular Irish beers at a discount price: Guinness and Kilkenny, and the Bohemian Regent Jarní green-colored Czech beer can also be obtained at a good price, in addition to 200 other beers.

Thinking about everyone’s taste and budget, Auchan keeps 380 types of beer in its permanent offer. More than half of this, i.e. 200 types of beer, are now on sale at the beer fair. In addition to well-known beers, many domestic craft and international, small and large-scale beers will also be present in the selection, which are now offered at particularly favorable prices.

In addition to domestic beers, the international beer selection is extremely wide, and you can often find American, Czech, Belgian, English, Greek, Irish, Austrian, French, Slovenian, Croatian, Japanese, Spanish, German and Slovak beers on Auchan’s shelves.

The beer fair begins on St. Patrick’s Day on March 17. Auchan is celebrating the great Irish holiday, which includes a parade, with three very reasonably priced beers, two of which are of course Irish: the black, characteristically sweet Guinness and the red Kilkenny. Both will be under 1,000 forints during the beer fair. The third is a real specialty, the Bohemian Regent Jarní, a green Czech beer, which is now available for 579 forints. Incidentally, this comes from the fourth oldest brewery that is still in operation, which was started by the Augustinian monks in the 14th century.

In addition to alcoholic versions, there is also a wide selection of fashionable, non-alcoholic beers throughout the year. According to Auchan beer experts, it can be observed that breweries have become more focused on products with reduced energy and alcohol content, and are increasingly moving towards beers with a mild taste, which are aimed at young adults.
