The warranty period is one year equally for all consumer goods. The warranty period for the boilers of central heating systems, liquid pumps, building material conditioning machines and household refrigerators used to be 24 months. The fulfilment of the warranty obligation is charged on the person who is obliged to provide the contractual service according to the consumer contract, i.e. the distributor . If the warranty conditions assumed by the manufacturer for the consumer goods are more preferential than prescribed in the Decree, the rights due to the distributor by title of warranty shall be devolved upon the consumer when the consumer contract is fulfilled . The one-year warranty period commences when the consumer goods are delivered to the consumer or – when installation is done by the distributor or its agent – on the day of installation .
