The Hungarian State Treasury has already disbursed around 60 billion forints based on 2024 AÖP applications, of which the number of people receiving partial payments exceeded 56 thousand. The aim of the AÖP, which is popular among farmers, continues to be for those affected to implement activities that can be integrated into their everyday practices and that contribute to soil protection, promoting water retention, preserving biodiversity, and mitigating the effects of climate change, the AM explained. As stated, the Ministry of Agriculture is committed to supporting the spread of sustainable, environmentally and climate-conscious agricultural practices with voluntary and incentive programs with the active participation of farmers. After the completion of the checks related to the affected applications, payments will continue as scheduled in the coming weeks. Farmers can track the status of their applications in the usual way, on the customer portal – the Ministry of Agriculture announced.
