Ministry of Agriculture: The European Union’s food imports should also come from sustainable production
According to a briefing by the ministry on Tuesday, the main items on the agenda of the virtual meeting of EU agriculture ministers on 26 April 2021 were the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the agricultural aspects of international free trade agreements. At the online conference, Feldman Zsolt, representing the Ministry of Agriculture, said after the meeting that the rules of the new CAP, which will start in 2023, are expected to include much more environmental and climate protection measures and 40 percent of CAP funds will be spent on climate protection measures.
