Minister of Agriculture: the performance of agriculture has increased significantly in recent years

The regional productivity of Hungarian agriculture increased by 161 percent between 2010 and 2021, Minister of Agriculture Nagy István wrote on his community page.

Agricultural output exceeded 3,300 billion HUF last year

The head of the ministry drew attention to the fact that the strategic role of domestic agriculture is supported not only by the safe and continuous food supply during the coronavirus pandemic, but also by economic indicators. In recent years, there has been a significant catching-up with the European Union, the territorial productivity of Hungarian agriculture reached 41 percent of the EU value in 2010, and by 2018 it had risen to 60 percent by 2021, the head of the ministry added.
