Agricultural economist: 50 percent less apples have grown, compared to last year
Apple trees last year produced 900,000 tons of fruit in Hungary, and due to the weather, we can expect about half of this amount this year – agricultural economist Fórián Zoltán told M1 news channel on Monday.
The expert said that the price of apples and sour cherries will rise significantly as a result of crop decline.
Pears, plums and grapes have an average crop, but they will also become more expensive – he added. (MTI)
