Agricultural Chamber: the price of pork may continue to rise
The price of pork and preparations made from it may continue to rise over the coming months, as the purchase price of pigs is rising due to African swine fever – the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) told MTI.
NAK explained the increase in costs due to the consequences of the spread of African swine fever (asp), which causes significant damage and loss to pig producers in China and Europe and led to a significant increase in buying prices.
The European price level for cut pigs is currently over 1.8 euros per kilogram and is projected to reach 2 euros per kilogram in the third quarter. (MTI)
