With the collaboration, the Hungarian onion industry – that had a great year last year – could become more stable, but to compensate market fluctuations, storage capacities should be increased -according to the working group of the National Agricultural Chamber (NAK).
The NAK in its communication sent to MTI on Monday highlights that the basic objective is that when there is Hungarian commodity on the market and it is traded by merchants. In order to strengthen the competitiveness of the Hungarian onion, it is also necessary to increase the storage capacity to provide quality onion from harvest to 5-6 months. (MTI)
