Chamber of Agriculture: less pears to be produced this year
According to preliminary data, this year the domestic pear crop may be up to 20-25 percent less than in the average years, according to preliminary data, while the quality is promised to be good – according to the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK).
According to a statement from NAK on Wednesday, the average annual yield in Hungary is 33 thousand tonnes.
It has been announced that, according to WAPA data, Europe could grow around 2 million tons of pears this year, which is a 14 percent drop, compared to last year.
