What is happening in the garlic market is worrying
According to the data of AKI PÁIR, this is how the most common gross producer prices developed in the Budapest Wholesale Market in the 42nd week.
cluster tomatoes: HUF 870/kg, this price is 8.8 percent lower than in the same period of 2022,
sweet peppers for stuffing: HUF 527/kg, 17.1 percent cheaper than a year ago,
lecho peppers: HUF 333/kg, 22.5 percent cheaper than at this time last year,
zucchini: HUF 487/kg, 39.2 percent cheaper than a year ago,
salt: HUF 933/kg, 24.2 percent more expensive than a year ago, and 16.7 percent more expensive compared to the previous week,
cauliflower: HUF 400/kg, 14 percent cheaper than in the 42nd week of 2022.
The gross producer price of apples varied between HUF 310-400/kg in the 42nd week, depending on the variety. With a price of HUF 400/kg, Granny Smith is the most expensive, but Starking also costs HUF 385 per kilo. In contrast, Jonathan is the cheapest, at HUF 310 per kilo. Compared to last year, apples have become more expensive by 15-28 percent.
