Sectoral Skills Council
Upon request from the Ministry for National Economy, the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK) has recently started developing the so-called Sectoral Skills Council (ÁKT) system. With these councils the goal is to bring labour market needs into trade education.
So far 5 ÁKTs have been established, including one for tourism/hospitality. At the moment there are 13 experts in the tourism/hospitality sector’s ÁKT council. The representatives of the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) participated in the ÁKT’s meetings in August and September. Those present at the discussion outlined the council’s organisational structure, which consists of three main areas: restaurants, accommodation and other. //
