Nébih detected African swine fever in a wild boar
The virus of African swine fever (ASF) was detected in a wild boar by the Laboratory of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) on Saturday. The infected carcass was transported from Heves County to the authority for examination.
Nébih said on Monday that veterinary specialists immediately took the necessary measures.
The wild boar was found in the area of the Gyöngyös-Gyöngyöshalász Landowners’ Hunting Club in Heves county. Epidemic investigation is in progress. (MTI)
