Wild boar carcass infected with African swine fever was found in Békés
An African swine fever (ASP) virus has been detected in a wild boar in the outskirts of the village of Biharugra, Békés County, by the Laboratory of the National Food Chain Safety Authority (Nébih).
According to that communication, the veterinary authorities immediately took the necessary measures on the instructions of the national veterinarian.
The disease probably came from Romania during the migration of wild boars, but a more accurate explanation may be given by the ongoing epidemiological investigation, they added. (MTI
