The Dairy Product Council urges VAT reduction and compensation
The Presidency of the Dairy Interprofessional Organisation and Product Council recommends the following immediate necessary steps to be taken and initiates the Government and Brussels to make the necessary steps in order to easen the problems on the dairy market in its communication released on 13 August.
National competence:
We continue to urge to decrease the Value Added Tax on UHT, ESL, semi-durable and fresh, net two-liter milks, regardless of packaging type, not concentrated, unsweetened; t 040120 and 040110 custom tariff numbered milks to 5 percent from 1 January 2016 and we also ask for the mitigation of the burdens of the domestic commercial chains.
