The VIMOSZ would reduce the VAT on public catering
The VIMOSZ (National Association of Tourism and Catering Employers) as the determining representative of the catering profession initates an economically significant tax proposal.
The point is that they would like to reduce the current VAT rate from 27 percent to the 5 percent preferential VAT rate in 2014 on public catering (children and youth, hospital, workplace and social catering). According to their etimates, and on the basis of the research of Századvég Gazdaságkutató Zrt., the VAT reduction would put only a 0.02 percent negative impact on the budget, that would be offset by a number of multiple economic and social advantages.
