Data-driven decisions
Digitalisation is the driving force behind the development of domestic tracking systems. Technological innovation focuses on the visualisation and analysis of real-time data, with a particular emphasis on solutions tailored to company-specific needs.

The spotlight is on immediate data collection and flexible system customisation. There is a growing demand for custom developments, full integration with internal company systems and telematics solutions running on own servers. From July 2026 vehicles over 2.5 tonnes involved in international transport will also have to be equipped with tachographs. The pursuit of sustainability is increasingly linked to monitoring. Various digital solutions – from analysing driving styles to route optimisation and fuel consumption measurement – enable the creation of fact-based reports that can be used directly in ESG reports. For retail chains tracking store-level inventory movements, predicting logistics delays and accurately measuring environmental impact have become key considerations.

Targeted developments
iData Kft.’s iTrack system does the collection, analysis and visualisation of real-time data, which is specifically tailored to the operations of the company in question.

“We do our best to provide our partners with fast, reliable and detailed data with our solutions, be it temperature monitoring, service monitoring, route deviation alerts or automated reports and alert functions”,
emphasises head of marketing Orsolya Gábor.
The reports generated by the iTrack system also feature quantifiable CO2 emissions, driving style analysis and fuel consumption – the latter is measured using a probe developed in-house. Easy integration with the systems of their customers is important for the company.
Customised systems
One of the most important technological changes in the tracking sector is the gradual phase-out of the 2G network in Europe, which makes it inevitable to replace old tracking devices with modern, 4G-compatible equipment. FLEETware systems respond to these changes in a timely manner and offer services that meet the expectations of various customer segments, especially road transport operators.

“We develop fully customised solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing IT systems. In many cases we no longer just provide a service, but also the software version of the vehicle tracking system, which runs on the own servers of customers”,
explains business unit manager Lajos D. Szabó.
FLEETware is currently working on the integration of AI into its solutions..

Currently, development is focused on real-time data collection and the flexible customization of systems
Cost cutting and sustainability
In the first half of 2025 the financial situation may have stabilised, but cost pressures didn’t ease and freight rates continued to narrow. As a result, players in the sector are placing growing emphasis on data-driven operations. Eurowag has developed and keeps improving the Eurowag Office platform, which seeks to provide access to a full range of transport and administrative services within a single system.

Eurowag
“We have designed our services to simultaneously support the business efficiency of partners, comply with increasingly stringent regulations and contribute to achieving their sustainability goals”,
says country manager László Kálmán.
They believe long-term partnerships are based on a reliable, scalable system and the personalised support that comes with it.
