The green transition is a business opportunity, not just an obligation
The K&H Group received another prestigious recognition for its sustainability efforts. This year, the financial institution was included among the best in the HVG’s sustainability list. The award was accepted by Suba Levente, K&H’s head of sustainability.
More and more individuals and companies are discovering the importance of sustainability and environmental aspects. In this spirit, the term ESG was born, which covers the abbreviation of the words Environment, Social, Governance. ESG cannot be called a new concept at all, since environmental and social problems have been given more and more attention in recent decades, which has led to the strengthening of corporate responsibility activities.
After 2023, HVG prepared a list of the Best in business sustainability this year as well, which included the K&H Group (16th place). Among the 500 largest Hungarian companies, the 40 that provided the best performance during the year according to environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) criteria were included in this list.
In the evaluation, the companies’ scientifically accepted climate goals, emissions data, human rights policy, diversity goals, and health and safety management systems, as well as their published and audited sustainability reports, climate goals, and code of ethics were also taken into account.
