Mandatory deposit return scheme
From 1 July 2023 a mandatory deposit return scheme for glass and plastic bottles and aluminium cans will be introduced in Hungary. László Kovács, president of the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) told: first it must be surveyed how much and what kind of waste is generated in various hospitality segments, and how this waste is managed; then bars and restaurants must start preparing for the new system immediately. //
