The biggest restaurant chains in the world
US trade magazine National Restaurant News publishes the list of the world’s top 200 restaurants every year, based on their sales revenue (US sales data). On the 2018 list McDonald’s is the No.1 with USD 37.5-billion sales, followed by Starbucks at USD 19 million and Subway in the third place with a USD 10.8-billion sales performance. Smaller chains can go much higher up on the list from one year to another. This year the biggest growth was achieved by café-bakery units, expanding by 7.7 percent. //
